Cloud Computing Operations Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cloud Computing Operations Engineer to join our team at Tencent. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to monitor and maintain Tencent Cloud's computing products in the North American region, ensuring stability and reliability.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and maintain the reliability of Tencent Cloud's computing-related products.
• Utilize CI/CD tools and data to enhance the efficiency of the operations team.
• Participate in troubleshooting computing products and resolve customer issues.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate monitoring and enhance service quality.
• Re-engineer and document operational processes to improve service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in computing, virtualization, and container technologies.
• Deep understanding of Linux operating systems, including kernel and memory management.
• Proficiency in standard networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Shell for automation tasks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with kernel and KVM fault debugging.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Possession of Tencent Cloud Qualification Certificate or equivalent.
