Chief Information Security Officer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) remote to lead our security initiatives at Freedx. As a newly established cryptocurrency exchange, we prioritize building a scalable, compliant, and liquidity-driven trading platform. The CISO will play a vital role in defining our overall security strategy, ensuring the protection of our exchange platform, infrastructure, and digital assets.

What You'll Do

• Define and implement a comprehensive company-wide security strategy that aligns with our business goals.
• Design and manage identity and access management architecture across all systems to ensure secure access.
• Secure the exchange platform, wallets, APIs, and trading infrastructure against potential threats.
• Establish security practices across the full software lifecycle, including code, dependencies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead incident response efforts, threat detection, and risk management initiatives to mitigate security risks.
• Drive a security culture and best practices across all teams, not just engineering, to enhance overall security posture.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chief Information Security Officer or similar role in the cryptocurrency or financial services industry.
• Deep understanding of security protocols, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with blockchain technology and its security implications.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across teams.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools like Docker.
• Knowledge of security in web3 environments.
