About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Cards & Clearing Officer - Remote to join our team at C. Hoare & Co. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of Card & Clearing transactions while adhering to compliance requirements. You will be responsible for processing payments, maintaining clear records, and supporting the team to uphold high standards of service.

What You'll Do

  • Accurately process Card & Clearing tasks and related transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Respond to customer queries through various channels, providing friendly and professional service.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest enhancements to technology and systems.
  • Maintain open communication with internal stakeholders and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Ensure all work is completed within agreed SLAs and with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Stay informed about tools and systems used by the team to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five GCSEs grade A-C (including Math and English) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in banking, specifically in Cards & Clearing processing.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Familiarity with data security and regulatory compliance in banking operations.
  • Two A Level Grades A-D are desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-driven solutions in banking.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and best practices.
  • Understanding of FCA/PRA Conduct Rules and compliance requirements.
