Associate Technical Support Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Technical Support Engineer to join our team at Park Place Technologies. In this remote role, you will ensure that our customers derive maximum benefit from our software products by providing high-quality technical support. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them configure and utilize our software solutions effectively.

What You'll Do

  • Advise customers on how to configure and use Park Place Technologies’ software products to meet their operational needs.
  • Troubleshoot and identify the root cause of software product issues faced by customers.
  • Resolve customer problems, ensuring workarounds and software patches are provided in accordance with agreed service levels.
  • Log all customer problems and queries in our Helpdesk system, escalating issues when necessary and tracking them through to resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Software Development Teams to address and resolve customer issues.
  • Engage with Sales and Pre-Sales Teams to facilitate successful Proof of Concept trials.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Entuity products and relevant IT technologies.
  • Advise customers on integrating Entuity software with corporate user authentication systems such as Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, and SSO.
  • Assist customers in customizing Entuity software dashboards, reports, and exports.
  • Develop and supply customized rules and scripts using Groovy scripting language to enhance how Entuity Software processes alerts.
  • Create and issue Device support software configurations and overrides as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking or a related software discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience with MS Windows, Red Hat Linux, and VMware.
  • Knowledge of network technologies and device types such as routers, switches, and load balancers.
  • Self-confident, resourceful, and positive with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to remain focused under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and a good sense of humor.

  • Network device vendor certifications (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA).
