Assistant Accountant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team at METLEN Energy & Metals. This Assistant Accountant remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our Finance General Division, specifically within the group cash flow department. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with accounting and tax policies while supporting our mission for a sustainable future.

What You'll Do

• Perform accounting activities, including booking disbursements and cash receipts.
• Prepare supplier payments, monitor receivables/payables, and reconcile bank statements across multiple group legal entities.
• Execute payments through various e-banking platforms.
• Record and monitor cash flow activities (actuals) and prepare daily, monthly, and yearly cash flow reports.
• Collaborate with Financial Controlling teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of cash inflows and outflows.
• Prepare accounting analyses and cash flow reports to support financial monitoring and decision-making.
• Support the Finance Manager and Controllers with budgeting, balance sheet reconciliations, audits, and resolution of discrepancies or compliance issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally within an international environment.
• Strong accounting and tax skills (VAT, withholding tax, CIT, etc.).
• Strong organizational and stress management skills, with respect to deadlines in terms of tax compliance and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
• SAP knowledge will be considered a plus.

• Experience with IAS/IFRS compliance.
