Analytics Engineer - Remote Opportunity in FinTech

About the Role
We're hiring an Analytics Engineer to join our team at Lendable, a leading fintech company on a mission to revolutionize credit access. This Analytics Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations from day one.
What You’ll Do
- Build the Operational Data Layer by designing and maintaining scalable DBT models and SQL pipelines that transform raw operational data into clean, reliable analytics layers.
- Establish clear metric definitions and data models to ensure operational teams can trust and reuse datasets across analyses.
- Develop a single operational analytics layer that integrates data across multiple systems, including customer support platforms and risk systems.
- Enable Self-Serve Analytics by designing systems that allow Operations teams to explore data independently without relying on manual reporting.
- Conduct analytical deep dives to identify operational inefficiencies, behavioral trends, and improvement opportunities using Python and SQL.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by proactively identifying discrepancies and improving the robustness of operational data pipelines.
- Mentor junior analysts on SQL modeling and analytical best practices to foster team development.
- Engage with stakeholders to translate operational questions into data models and insights that drive decision-making.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI, or data analytics roles in SQL-heavy environments.
- Strong experience with SQL and DBT, including building and maintaining scalable data models.
- Experience using Python for analysis and visualization (e.g., Pandas, matplotlib, plotly, seaborn).
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring analysts or contributing to team development.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with operational datasets (customer support, collections, fraud).
- Exposure to AI-assisted analytics workflows (e.g., Claude, GPT).
- Familiarity with modern data stacks (DBT, Snowflake, BigQuery).
