About the Role

We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for an Airport Services Duty Officer remote position with Qatar Airways. As a key member of our Ground Services team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of airport services in Caracas, Venezuela. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency in all Qatar Airways operations.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the overall control of the shift, ensuring punctuality and safety of all operations.
  • Act as a liaison between airport service providers and users, optimizing day-to-day operations.
  • Provide input and recommendations to management for improving operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure passenger and aircraft handling practices comply with safety and security standards.
  • Manage manpower effectively to optimize utilization and maintain staff morale.
  • Conduct spot-checks to ensure adequate standards are maintained.
  • Resolve customer problems and complaints by liaising with all departments, including Customer Relations.
  • Conduct briefing sessions for shift and GHA supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Compile detailed station handling reports for the Airport Duty Manager on a shift basis.
  • Manage petty cash expenses and track expenditures in line with financial procedures.
  • Prepare monthly reports and LPCs as required.
  • Perform Aircraft Turnaround Check (ATC) duties as assigned to ensure safe operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in airport operations or a similar role, ideally as an Airport Services Duty Officer remote.
  • Strong understanding of safety and security protocols in aviation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Experience in report compilation and financial management.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Qatar Airways or similar airlines.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
