AI-First Developer - Remote Position

About the Role

We’re looking for an AI-First Developer to join our team remotely. As an AI-First Developer, you will build software using AI development tools, rapidly prototype features, and help our engineering team adopt AI-driven workflows. This is a unique opportunity to work across our internal systems and customer-facing products, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Design and build internal tools powered by AI and LLMs.
• Rapidly prototype and ship new features using AI-assisted development.
• Identify areas where AI can improve workflows across the business.
• Develop backend features within our Perl-based application stack.
• Build and improve frontend components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Integrate APIs and services to extend our platform's capabilities.
• Utilize AI coding assistants as a core development workflow.
• Deliver working solutions quickly while maintaining high code quality.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of software development experience.
• Experience with Perl programming.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in development workflows.
• Ability to rapidly understand and modify existing codebases.
• Strong problem-solving and systems thinking skills.
• Familiarity with backend development concepts.
• Comfortable with technologies such as PHP, Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with APIs and AI development tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and GitHub Copilot.

Nice to Have

• Experience building web applications.
• AI architecture experience.
• Familiarity with AI-native IDEs and LLM APIs.
