Agile Product Owner - Missile Defense Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Agile Product Owner to join our team focused on Missile Defense Systems. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of product strategies and delivering high-quality solutions. As an Agile Product Owner, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product vision, manage backlogs, and prioritize features that enhance system capabilities. This position is based in Woburn, Massachusetts, and requires onsite presence.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Agile development process, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and tasks based on stakeholder feedback and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define requirements and ensure successful implementation of product features.
• Conduct regular backlog grooming sessions to maintain clarity and readiness for upcoming sprints.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the development process.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, showcasing product progress and future plans.
• Analyze market trends and user feedback to inform product decisions and enhancements.
• Support proposal efforts for new business opportunities, leveraging your understanding of the Missile Defense landscape.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience as an Agile Product Owner, particularly in defense or complex systems environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with software development processes and tools, including MATLAB, C/C++, Ada, or Java.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Missile Defense programs, particularly the AN/TPY-2 System.
• Familiarity with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and CMMI-compliant Gate Reviews.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
