Accounting Support - Remote for Non-Profit Organization

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounting Support - Remote to join our team at foodsharing e.V, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation of food across Germany. This role is crucial for enhancing our financial management and supporting various initiatives. As an Accounting Support, you will work remotely and contribute to our grassroots democratic structure, primarily supported by volunteers.

What You'll Do

• Perform ongoing financial accounting, including income and expenditure tracking.
• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Prepare the annual financial statement and assist with tax return preparations.
• Support the treasurer in managing financial tasks and reporting.
• Collaborate with financial administration for project accounting.
• Manage receipts and maintain digital accounting systems.

Requirements

• Experience with non-profit organizations is preferred.
• Knowledge of non-profit law and regulations.
• Proficient in common accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
