About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Paxos, a leading FinTech company focused on revolutionizing the financial infrastructure. This remote Accounting Manager position offers a unique opportunity to lead our accounting team and drive improvements in our financial processes. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with GAAP and international reporting standards while overseeing the month-end closing process.

What You'll Do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes as the Accounting Manager.
• Manage and mentor a growing team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Supervise daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate successful external audits.
• Review reconciliations and work papers to maintain high-quality standards.
• Guide the development and implementation of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Immerse yourself in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency regulations to support our innovative approach.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting (audit) and private/in-house accounting.
• Experience in start-up environments or financial services is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA license with strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Proven experience in overseeing and managing an accounting team.
• Proficiency with NetSuite ERP or similar cloud-based accounting software.
• Strong drive for continuous improvement in accounting operations and financial reporting processes.
• Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
