Account Director - Continental Europe (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking an inspirational leader for the remote Account Director position to drive a winning account management team to greater heights! As an Account Director, you will be pivotal in leading the German Account Management team within the Continental Europe Leadership team. This role is crucial as Germany is our second-largest revenue country within the EMEA region, emphasizing the strategic relevance of the territory and the critical impact of your leadership.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of experienced Account Managers covering clients across the buy side, sell side, and corporate sectors to meet sales, revenue, retention, and organizational objectives.
- Ensure execution of the team on sales initiatives to meet key financial metrics.
- Drive in-depth account, territory, and opportunity planning using LSEG’s sales methodology.
- Forecast sales & revenue to support the Market Head.
- Develop and nurture relationships with senior contacts at our customer base.
- Influence functional strategy and participate in the development of product/division strategy.
- Design and develop sales strategies to increase market share and sustainable revenue growth.
- Proactively identify, define, and solve complex problems that impact management and business direction.
Requirements
- Good understanding of the financial services industry and knowledge of the German market.
- Experience working with a data vendor and/or client-side.
- Proven account management experience with strong people leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated innovative and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a flexible professional attitude.
- Proactive in bringing the right people together to leverage expertise across the organization.
