Head of Events - Global Experiences

About the Role

Monocle is looking for a Head of Events to join our team in London. This Head of Events remote position is a fixed-term maternity-leave role that offers global travel, high-end events, and exceptional experiences. As the Head of Events, you will play a crucial role in shaping the Monocle brand through meticulously crafted events.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the planning and execution of a diverse range of events, from cocktail receptions to multi-day conferences.
• Manage a busy events calendar, ensuring each event reflects the Monocle brand and audience expectations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional experiences.
• Demonstrate excellent budget management, contract negotiation, and supplier management skills.
• Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Utilize your existing network of industry contacts to enhance event quality and reach.
• Travel internationally to oversee event execution and ensure brand standards are met.
• Adapt to pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor and a positive attitude.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an events manager with a track record of delivering high-quality events.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across various time zones.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Right to travel internationally and work in the UK.
