Lean Operations Associate (Japanese Speaker) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Lean Operations Associate (Japanese Speaker) remote to join our dynamic team at Maersk. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow with our improvement journey, supporting our Sensei Program by translating between Japanese and English for our Lean experts. You will gain exposure to lean methodology and contribute to its adoption across our global terminal network.

What You'll Do

• Support Dojo Masters with translation between Japanese and English.
• Drive the adoption of Lean practices with a focus on KAIZEN and coaching terminal management.
• Provide specialized knowledge and best practices for process development and optimization.
• Improve awareness of process compliance.
• Assist terminals in adopting the Flow program through audits and coaching.
• Support the overall needs of the Dojo Master in delivering the program to terminals.
• Live and learn the lean journey and be passionate about it.

Requirements

• Industrial engineering background or similar experience.
• Fluency in English, Spanish, and Japanese, with the ability to interpret verbally and in writing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Learning agility – willingness and ability to learn from experience.
• Passion for being part of change and enabling it.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of Lean practices and methodologies.
• Experience in developing and implementing global standards, policies, and processes.
• Familiarity with TPM, 6 big losses, VMS, and problem-solving techniques.
