About the Role

Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo LLP is seeking a 2026 Summer Law Clerk to join our team in a remote capacity. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in litigation support across various areas of law, including civil litigation and workers’ compensation. As a Summer Law Clerk, you will work independently while contributing to a top litigation defense firm in the Carolinas.

What You'll Do

• Provide essential support for civil litigation or workers’ compensation practice.
• Conduct thorough research and produce high-quality written materials.
• Assist with motions, contentions, and evaluation letters.
• Engage in client interactions, utilizing strong interpersonal skills.
• Work in a remote environment with opportunities for hybrid work.

Requirements

• Must be a current candidate for Juris Doctor.
• Strong research and writing capabilities are essential.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
• Must be able to focus on a computer monitor for extended periods.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a legal setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with litigation processes and legal documentation.
