Works Supervisor - Remote Opportunity for Civil Construction

About the Role

We are seeking a Works Supervisor - Remote to join our team at Transport for NSW. In this role, you will lead and support a team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance work. What You'll Do

• Lead a team in the Road Maintenance and Resilience Division, coordinating resources and managing day-to-day activities.
• Ensure accurate reporting across safety, environmental, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in an on-call roster, responding to incidents and operational needs as required.
• Monitor performance and safety data to manage risks effectively.
• Support managers and engineers with minor projects, assisting with estimating and contract management.

Requirements

• Solid experience in civil construction, road maintenance, or traffic control.
• Ability to interpret project, construction, and contract documentation.
• Proven leadership skills in supervising both direct-control and contractor teams.
• Strong communication skills and conflict management abilities.
• Relevant trade qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with WHS and environmental obligations.
• Certifications for agency works.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
