Workers’ Compensation Legal Adjuster - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Workers’ Compensation Legal Adjuster to join our team remotely. In this role, you will manage Florida workers’ compensation claims while ensuring compliance with Florida statutes and delivering exceptional service. As a Workers’ Compensation Legal Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in the claims management process, making a significant impact on our clients' experiences.

What You'll Do

• Manage Florida workers’ compensation claims, including litigated files.
• Investigate and evaluate claims for compensability and total claim value.
• Establish and maintain reserves using company reserving philosophy.
• Coordinate with defense counsel and nurse case managers.
• Ensure timely payments and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow management.
• Identify potential subrogation opportunities.
• Monitor claims for red flags or potential fraud indicators.
• Communicate consistently with clients and attend meetings.
• Maintain a high claim closure ratio.

Requirements

• Workers’ compensation claims handling experience.
• Active Florida All-Lines Adjuster License or Florida Workers’ Compensation License.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Workers’ Compensation statutes.
• Experience with litigation files and claims evaluation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
• Experience with depositions and settlement negotiations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with relevant systems such as IDatix or Workers Computation.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of additional states' workers’ compensation laws.
• Certification in claims management.
