About the Role

We are seeking a VP of Cloud Engineering - Remote to lead our cloud strategy at a fast-growing open-source company. In this role, you will shape the future of AI infrastructure and work with a globally distributed, high-talent engineering team. As a VP of Cloud Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the technical strategy and overseeing the development of cloud-native solutions that meet our clients' needs.

What You'll Do

• Lead the cloud engineering team to develop and implement cloud strategies that align with business objectives.
• Oversee the design and architecture of cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions into existing products and services.
• Drive process improvements and optimize cloud operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proven track record in engineering leadership and team building.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and GRC.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote-first culture.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with open-source technologies and community engagement.
• Experience in technical sales or business development.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Rust, Python, or Go.
