VP/​Director of Finance - Remote Opportunity in FinTech

About the Role

We are seeking a VP/Director of Finance to join our innovative FinTech company, UMO. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the finance department and grow into the future CFO position. As a VP/Director of Finance, you will be instrumental in building and operating the core financial infrastructure for our modern money platform, which integrates fiat, crypto, and investment services. This position is designed for a senior finance leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution.

What You'll Do

• Build and oversee end-to-end financial operations, including settlements, reconciliations, and ledger management across fiat, crypto, and investment products.
• Manage relationships with liquidity providers, PSPs, custodians, and settlement partners.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies and processes in compliance with IFRS and UAE GAAP.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial close, consolidation, and reporting across multiple entities and currencies.
• Develop and execute the treasury strategy, including cash management and liquidity optimization.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles.
• Design and oversee the pricing framework for products and services, ensuring alignment with market trends.
• Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of compliance and business enablement.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role (VP, Director, or equivalent) within highly regulated fintech environments.
• Demonstrated experience across key finance domains, including Financial Operations & Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and Pricing.
• Strong mix of experience in both FinTech startups and established financial services organizations.
• Hands-on experience in retail banking and exposure to crypto exchanges is highly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and experience building finance organizations from scratch.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Russian or Ukrainian is a plus.
