UI/UX Designer - E-commerce Focus (Remote)
About the Role
Grow Your Staff is hiring a UI/UX Designer remote to support a UK-based client focused on enhancing website experience and performance. This role involves creating intuitive, engaging, and conversion-optimized designs for various digital touchpoints, including homepage, product pages, checkout, and subscription flows. As a key member of the design team, you will collaborate closely with marketing and development teams to implement user-centered design solutions that drive engagement and improve overall user satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Design wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes for website pages and features, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Enhance UX across key website sections such as the homepage, product pages, checkout process, and subscription flows to maximize engagement and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with marketing and development teams to implement design improvements that are focused on increasing user engagement and conversion.
- Identify friction points within user journeys through data analysis and user feedback, proposing data-driven solutions to optimize interactions.
- Conduct UX audits and usability testing to identify areas for improvement and validate design effectiveness.
- Maintain consistency in design language and branding across all digital touchpoints to ensure a cohesive user experience.
- Work closely with developers to facilitate the smooth implementation of designs, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to specifications.
- Support the creation and optimization of landing pages for marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive traffic and conversions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of practical UI/UX experience, particularly within eCommerce or D2C sectors.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch is essential.
- Strong understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) principles and user behavior analysis.
- Experience working with Shopify or similar platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity in healthcare, dental, or wellness industries is a bonus.
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a compelling portfolio showcasing website designs, wireframes, and prototypes.
Nice to Have
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first design principles.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for better collaboration with developers.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
