About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Team Lead - Retail to join our team at Roots. This role is an excellent opportunity for those who are passionate about retail and customer service. As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in linking the leadership team and sales associates, ensuring a seamless operational flow in our store. What You'll Do

  • Assist in the operational functions of the store and motivate the team to exceed sales goals.
  • Model desired selling and customer service behaviors to promote a positive in-store experience.
  • Support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in their absence, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to associates on customer service fundamentals.
  • Contribute ideas to the leadership team that enhance productivity and store operations.
  • Oversee daily banking procedures and ensure timely reporting.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new associates.
  • Communicate performance feedback to store management and ensure adherence to company policies.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a retail apparel environment; luxury retail experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead a sales team and be viewed as a leader among peers.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to collaborate with others while being self-motivated.
  • Availability for varied weekly shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Experience with POS management.
