What You'll Do

• Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns and related work papers.
• Respond to correspondences from taxing authorities.
• Identify and propose strategies for accounting and income tax issues.
• Conduct tax technical research as needed.
• Perform self-review of work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize firm tax software for knowledge sharing and service enhancement.
• Communicate job status effectively with the engagement team.
• Complete projects within timelines and budget guidelines.
• Develop relationships with firm professionals and participate in trainings and firm activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or on track to complete a degree between December 2025 – June 2026.
• Minimum overall and accounting GPAs of 3.0.
• Active membership in Beta Alpha Psi or another accounting organization.
• Strong technical aptitude and communication skills.
• Leadership skills with problem-solving abilities.
• Able to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
• Can work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• High attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Team player mentality.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship experience in tax or accounting.
• Familiarity with tax software.
• Understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
