Tax Operations Analyst - Remote Position at eToro

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Operations Analyst to join our team at eToro, a leading trading and investing platform. This Tax Operations Analyst remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of empowering users to invest and trade transparently. You will play a crucial role in executing annual reporting processes and managing customer tax inquiries.

What You'll Do

• Execute annual reporting processes, including data gathering, validation checks, file preparation, and uploads for FATCA, CRS, and QI regime reporting obligations.
• Manage the customer Tax Report queue, including escalations to vendors and internal technical support.
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tax withholding procedures, including tax payment calculations, reconciliations, adjustments, and corrections.
• Address escalations related to customer tax inquiries and serve as a member of the subject matter expert team.
• Assist in evaluating tax implications for crypto-related products, such as forks, staking, transfers, and sales.
• Support process enhancements in collaboration with customer-facing teams, product, and DevOps.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Report to and work closely with the Director of Tax Compliance and Operations on the overall execution of the Group Tax Compliance Program.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in tax operations or a related field.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations, particularly in the context of cryptocurrency.
• Experience with FATCA, CRS, and QI reporting obligations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

• Experience in the Web3 or crypto industry.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
