About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Software Engineer to join our Integration Engineering team at Bugcrowd. This remote Staff Software Engineer position offers the opportunity to work on our cloud-native API-first platform, which is crucial for our patented data and AI-powered Security Knowledge Platform™. You will play a key role in ensuring that we stay ahead of threat actors by leveraging your extensive experience in software engineering.

What You'll Do

  • Design scalable API-first architecture and robust API standards for third-party integrations.
  • Lead the transition to cloud-native architecture, ensuring high accessibility, stability, and performance across integration workflows.
  • Be the technical authority for integrations and backend systems across the engineering organization.
  • Drive modernization efforts toward a highly reliable, service-oriented platform.
  • Mentor engineers across multiple teams and contribute to engineering excellence.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify new integration opportunities that drive business value.
  • Lead complex cross-team engineering initiatives and influence long-term technical strategy.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in cloud-native API and microservices architecture.
  • Strong technical leadership skills and experience managing complex cross-system integrations.
  • Deep understanding of AI tools and their application in software development.
  • Experience with agile delivery, backlog management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
