About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Senior Design Verification Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics. This remote role offers the opportunity to lead verification efforts of complex digital and mixed-signal designs, ensuring they meet all functional and performance requirements. You will manage a team of verification engineers, develop and review verification plans, and collaborate closely with design and architecture teams.

What You'll Do

  • Manage, supervise, and mentor a team of verification engineers, distributing and monitoring day-to-day tasks as well as short and long-term technical and career goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive verification plans and strategies to ensure thorough verification coverage.
  • Oversee the execution of verification tasks, including functional and formal verification, to guarantee adherence to industry standards.
  • Provide interface to customers, reporting progress and metrics in weekly calls and ad-hoc face-to-face meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with design and micro-architecture teams to understand functional and performance specifications.
  • Identify and resolve verification issues, providing technical guidance and support to your team.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of verification processes, results, and methodologies.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the verification team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in design verification, including team and/or project leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in verification languages such as SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of mixed-signal ASIC architectures, real number modeling, constrained random, assertions, gate-level simulations, functional/code coverage, and formal verification techniques.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with advanced verification methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in design verification.
