Staff Product Designer - Remote Opportunity at OpenSea

$175K–$275K/year

About the Role

OpenSea is seeking a highly skilled Staff Product Designer to join our dynamic team. This Staff Product Designer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of how people discover, trade, and interact with digital assets. As a foundational player in the crypto space, we’re building infrastructure that supports millions of users and sets new standards for how people discover and exchange digital value.

What You'll Do

  • Lead design initiatives from concept through launch, collaborating closely with engineers and other designers to define and deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Channel design thinking into our product development process, ensuring we’re solving real user problems with consistency & simplicity.
  • Hone open-ended product ideas into actionable design directions through research, prototyping, and iteration.
  • Create end-to-end experiences balancing user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
  • Contribute to and evolve our design system to raise quality, consistency, and efficiency across all OpenSea surfaces.
  • Communicate design rationale clearly and effectively across disciplines, helping align teams around shared goals.
  • Help shape the design culture at OpenSea by modeling strong craft, collaboration, and curiosity.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product design experience, across both consumer and platform-facing products.
  • Demonstrated ability to own complex, ambiguous problem spaces and turn them into elegant, intuitive solutions.
  • Strong product sense—comfortable thinking strategically and operating without the structure of a large product org.
  • Excellent interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio that highlights both systems thinking and attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers to ship high-quality, technically informed designs.
  • Breadth across UI, UX, motion & interaction, with deep skills focused in 1-2 areas and comfort dabbling in the others.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners.
  • Experience working in emerging technologies such as Web3, fintech, or AI—a big plus, but not required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of user research methodologies and usability testing.

What We Offer

  • 100% coverage of Dental/Vision/Medical for employees and 90% for dependents.
  • Flexible Time Off Policy allowing employees to refresh while meeting goals.
  • 16 Weeks of Paid Parental Bonding & up to 8 additional weeks for the birthing parent.
  • Access to Spring Health for mental health support, covering therapy & coaching sessions.
  • 11 Company Holidays and a Fidelity 401K Plan.
  • Internet/Mobile Reimbursement Plan and MacBook Pro & WFH Stipend.
  • Weekly $50 Uber Eats credit and Company & Team retreats for collaboration.
