About the Role

Kraken is hiring a full-time Staff Product Designer – Breakout to join our innovative team. This Staff Product Designer remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the United States, contributing to the design of groundbreaking products in the FinTech space. You will play a critical role in shaping user experiences that are not only functional but also delightful.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design process for new product features, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on designs.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on best practices in product design.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a product designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience in user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions.
• Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with FinTech products and services.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS for better collaboration with developers.
