What You'll Do

• Drive modernization efforts across our platform, focusing on identity, access, and authorization systems.
• Lead the architecture and development of scalable, reliable backend services.
• Design APIs and event-driven workflows that facilitate seamless communication between services.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and senior engineers, enhancing the overall technical capabilities of the team.
• Utilize AI-driven tools to improve development quality and velocity.
• Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js, ensuring robust testing practices.
• Apply your knowledge of AWS services to design performant distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product teams to deliver technical solutions that align with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in designing and scaling distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Deep understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, RBAC/ABAC).
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with a focus on maintainable code practices.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Aurora).
• Proven ability to build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.
• Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud-native architecture.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and effective mentoring skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with serverless deployment frameworks like SST.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of data validation frameworks like Zod.
• Experience in Agile environments.
