American Oversight is seeking a Spring Legal Intern to join our team remotely. As a Spring Legal Intern, you'll support the legal team through various tasks, including legal research and writing. What You'll Do

• Support the legal team through legal research and writing.
• Draft FOIA requests and court pleadings.
• Conduct legal research to support litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with the research team on various projects.
• Observe litigation proceedings to gain practical insights.
• Contribute to reports for American Oversight's website.
• Attend legal team and staff meetings to stay informed.

Requirements

• At least one semester completed at an ABA-accredited law school.
• Strong writing, research, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to analyze situations and apply sound judgment.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship experience in a legal setting.
