About the Role

We're hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our dynamic team at BeaconFire Inc. This remote opportunity allows you to leverage your skills in software engineering and testing while contributing to innovative projects in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop automated testing frameworks using Java 8/JEE and JavaScript.
  • Write scalable, secure, maintainable code to ensure the quality of our clients’ platforms.
  • Adopt and promote Agile, Waterfall, and test-driven software development practices.
  • Deploy and maintain automated system tests using cloud infrastructures.
  • Analyze program performance during execution using various programming languages and techniques.
  • Collaborate with developers to understand defects and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Requirements

  • Experience in programming languages such as Java and JavaScript.
  • Basic understanding of the software development/testing life cycle.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) languages and knowledge of common APIs and data structures like Collections, Maps, Lists, and Sets.
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and basic SQL.
  • 0-1 year of practical experience in Java coding.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science (CS).
  • Experience using JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, and other testing frameworks, as well as HTML and CSS.
