About the Role
We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (Java, JavaScript) remote to join our dynamic team at BeaconFire. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that specializes in Software Development, Web Development, and Business Intelligence. As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our clients' platforms through automated testing frameworks.
What You'll Do
- Develop automated testing frameworks using Java 8/JEE and JavaScript.
- Write scalable, secure, and maintainable code to assure the quality of our clients’ platforms.
- Adopt and promote Agile, Waterfall, and test-driven software development practices.
- Deploy and maintain automated system tests using cloud infrastructures.
- Analyze program performance during execution while using various programming languages and techniques.
- Collaborate with developers to understand defects and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Requirements
- Experience in programming languages Java and JavaScript.
- Decent understanding of the software development/testing life cycle.
- Basic programming skills using object-oriented programming (OOP) languages with in-depth knowledge of common APIs and data structures like Collections, Maps, and Lists.
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and basic SQL.
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science (CS).
- 0-1 year of practical experience in Java coding.
- Experience using JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, and other testing frameworks, HTML, and CSS.

Who Will Succeed Here
