About the Role

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Social Value Manager remote position at Amey. This role allows you to work remotely while traveling across Manchester, the Midlands, London, and the South. What You'll Do

  • Lead the management and development of Social Value measurement tools, systems, and frameworks.
  • Utilize the Thrive social value tool for effective measurement and reporting.
  • Drive innovation across social value initiatives to achieve lasting positive impact.
  • Support work-winning efforts by contributing to compelling social value proposals and case studies.
  • Engage with internal teams to develop impactful case study material.
  • Monitor industry trends and benchmark performance to inform future strategies.
  • Represent Amey at industry events and contribute to thought leadership.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to embed social value across the business.

Requirements

  • Experience in social value, sustainability performance management, or a related field.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of the UK Government Social Value Act and measuring frameworks such as Thrive and TOMs.
  • Working knowledge of environmental management and performance tracking is a plus.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels.
  • A genuine passion for impact, with a drive to innovate and lead change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and performance reporting tools.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., Institute of Social Value, ICRS, IEMA, CIPD) is desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in managing charitable partnerships or education and STEM programs.
  • Familiarity with social impact measurement tools.
  • Understanding of community engagement strategies.
