Senior Workout Officer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Workout Officer - Remote to join our dynamic team at SSY Santander Holdings USA. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing distressed loans and workout strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting our clients through challenging financial situations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the workout management of distressed loans, ensuring effective resolution strategies are implemented.
• Conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to inform decision-making processes.
• Negotiate loan modifications and settlements with borrowers to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with AML, BSA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage appraisal coordination and portfolio management to maintain asset quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in workout management or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in financial analysis.
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience in loan modifications.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including AML and BSA.
• Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience in commercial real estate and judicial foreclosure processes.
• Familiarity with NYC rent regulations and community development.
• NMLS license is a plus.
