Senior System Administrator - OKTA (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator - OKTA to join our dynamic team at Kyndryl. In this remote role, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing critical technology systems that drive business success for our clients. With a focus on OKTA administration, you will tackle complex challenges and ensure seamless operations across various platforms.

What You'll Do

• Act as L3 escalation for complex OKTA incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced MFA, SSO, and authentication issues to maintain security and accessibility.
• Support OKTA administration, including policies, groups, and application configurations, to enhance user experience.
• Handle P1/P2 incidents and contribute to root cause analysis and problem management, driving continuous improvement.
• Manage OKTA agent deployments, upgrades, and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Participate in Major Incident Management, representing IDAM on MIM, P1 & P2 calls to coordinate effective responses.
• Oversee daily incident management and support for OKTA platform, handling approximately 2500 incidents monthly.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in IAM, Security, or System Administration, with a proven track record in managing complex systems.
• 1-2 years of hands-on OKTA administration experience, demonstrating expertise in OKTA functionalities.
• Strong knowledge of OKTA MFA, SSO, authentication policies, and federation, ensuring robust security measures.
• Experience with SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, LDAP, and directory integrations to facilitate seamless connectivity.
• Familiarity with incident, change, and problem management processes to enhance operational resilience.

• OKTA Certified Professional/Administrator certification to validate your expertise.

• Experience in automation and OKTA patch management to streamline processes.
• Knowledge of OKTA federation services to enhance integration capabilities.
