Senior Space Systems Engineer - Hybrid Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Space Systems Engineer to join our innovative team at Jobster. This Senior Space Systems Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to lead space missions from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to Geostationary Orbit (GEO) and beyond. You will be involved in every phase of the mission, from concept to launch and operational life, providing a cradle-to-grave experience that allows you to see your work in space.

What You'll Do

• Act as the technical lead on space mission projects, overseeing all aspects from contract negotiations to launch and operations.
• Collaborate with a team to perform mission and system design for various missions, ensuring quality and pragmatic solutions.
• Conduct system-level design of space and ground segments, including requirements analysis and design trade-offs.
• Engage in customer-facing meetings and presentations at all project stages.
• Prepare high-quality presentation materials and reports for all project phases.
• Support bid and tender activities by generating technical solutions for a variety of customers.
• Manage studies to meet technical requirements, cost, and schedule.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technical lead on space mission projects.
• Experience as a spacecraft Systems Engineer, with a background in designing space missions from end-user requirements.
• Familiarity with designing and analyzing space and ground segments to the sub-system level.
• Experience in downstream spacecraft level testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of requirements and verification management.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on familiarity with environmental testing methods (e.g., vibration and thermal vacuum tests).
• Knowledge of assembly and test methods for space flight equipment.
• Some experience with MS Project or equivalent planning tools.
