About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at JiBe ERP. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere while contributing to our innovative cloud-based ERP system designed specifically for the shipping industry. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing productivity, efficiency, and safety levels for shipping companies, all while reducing operational costs.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the technical focal point for development efforts within an agile team, engaging in hands-on development and design.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure successful task deliveries and provide effective solutions to business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership by coaching and mentoring junior team members.
  • Verify and uphold high development and delivery standards as defined by the organization’s policies.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable and distributed systems based on cloud computing infrastructure.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of software development experience, with a focus on backend or full stack development.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a web solutions lead developer or technical lead.
  • 3+ years of development and design experience with Node.js.
  • 2+ years of experience working with relational databases.
  • Practical experience with microservices architecture and development quality methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English communication.

Nice to Have

  • 2+ years of experience with NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and its services.
  • Familiarity with both Windows and Linux production environments.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Practical experience in performance analysis, application security, and data streaming.
