Disclosure Researcher - Hybrid Role at South Yorkshire Police

About the Role

We are seeking a Disclosure Researcher to join the South Yorkshire Police team in a hybrid role. As a Disclosure Researcher remote, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of police data systems. This position involves researching data from various police databases and ensuring discrepancies are thoroughly investigated.

What You'll Do

• Interrogate and research data from Police National Computer (PNC), Local Police Systems, and the Police National Database.
• Evaluate and collate information to identify relevant intelligence while complying with legislation and force policies.
• Record all enquiries from internal and external partners, maintaining databases for audit purposes.
• Update relevant systems with data obtained through disclosure processes.
• Liaise with various departments, other police forces, and government agencies to ensure accurate data handling.
• Perform general administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and faxing as needed.
• Undertake any other duties as required by the role.

Requirements

• Proven experience in using window-based computer systems, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
• Experience working in an administrative environment with a focus on achieving targets and deadlines.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
• Experience in data handling and understanding of statutory legislation related to disclosure.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with police systems such as Connect, CATS, Lynx, and CMS.
• Experience in a role that requires a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
