Senior Software Engineer - Consumer Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Consumer Solutions to join our team remotely. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build end-to-end consumer-facing experiences that help homeowners explore, evaluate, and adopt sustainable energy solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions across the frontend, backend, and integrations.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and improve the consumer-facing platform.
• Build and deploy high-quality code across frontend and backend that enhances the solar buying experience.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, and release.
• Champion code quality through thoughtful reviews, automated testing, and scalable architecture.
• Contribute to operational tooling, analytics, integrations, and infrastructure to maintain a healthy, measurable product funnel.
• Deliver end-to-end solutions across multiple product areas while proposing process improvements and optimizations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping high-quality work.
• Full-stack experience in JavaScript and strong proficiency in Python or Ruby.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL; familiarity with MongoDB is a plus.
• Proven ability to take ownership of work end-to-end, from scoping through release.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Passion for solving complex problems and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Proactive mindset, capable of proposing solutions, asking questions, and iterating quickly.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL tools (Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt), or renewable energy/climate tech experience.
