About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Calibre (Remote) to join our innovative team at Siemens EDA. In this role, you will tackle complex engineering challenges in the semiconductor industry, contributing to groundbreaking software that redefines chip design and verification. As a key member of our team, you will work on advanced computational geometry, high-performance data structures, and multi-threading, all while collaborating with exceptional engineers and researchers.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with senior engineers, field teams, and key customers on advanced product development and research.
• Ensure the functional quality and reliability of released products across all required platforms.
• Drive software development projects from concept to implementation.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, providing technical leadership.
• Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of complex software solutions.
• Work independently while maintaining high levels of trust, motivation, and accountability.
• Engage in creative, engineering-oriented research within Calibre 3DIC technology.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering in the EDA industry.
• Strong proficiency in C++.
• Experience working with layout tools such as IC Validator, Custom Compiler, Pegasus, and Spectre.
• Solid understanding of back-end flows including Timing Analysis, Place & Route, and Physical Verification.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to team success.

Nice to Have

• Experience with multi-platform support.
• Knowledge of algorithms and parallel computing.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and semiconductor physics.
