Senior Software Analyst - Workday Configuration and Support
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Analyst - Workday Configuration and Support to join our Human Resources Technology team. This role is perfect for a hands-on analyst with extensive experience in Workday configuration and operational execution. As a Senior Software Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our Workday system aligns with business requirements and compliance standards. This position is remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in India, with future relocation opportunities to Bangalore.
What You'll Do
- Own the configuration and setup of Workday, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance standards.
- Translate business needs into scalable system configurations, workflows, and integrations.
- Deliver enhancements, patches, and upgrades with minimal disruption to operations.
- Lead operational delivery of application support, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Perform hands-on testing of system changes (integration, regression, functional user testing).
- Document and maintain system configurations, process flows, and support procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in agile delivery practices such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
- Support data integrity and reporting through accurate data flows and validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in software systems analysis with a strong focus on Workday configuration and support.
- Proven experience configuring and maintaining Workday in one or more modules: HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Benefits, Reporting/Prism.
- Hands-on experience with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Experience with system integrations, data mapping, and troubleshooting across Workday modules.
- Strong documentation, testing, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform integration, regression, and functional user testing.
- Experience with agile delivery practices and DevOps principles.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting data integrity and reporting (data validation and reconciliation).
- Familiarity with HR compliance standards and audit readiness.
- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration for end-to-end solution delivery.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and root cause analysis for enterprise HR systems.
