Senior Security Architect - Hybrid Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Security Architect to join our team in a hybrid work environment. This Senior Security Architect remote position focuses on securing enterprise information systems by defining security requirements and designing, implementing, and validating security solutions across on-premises, disaster recovery (DR), and cloud environments. You will partner closely with software development teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

What You'll Do

  • Determine enterprise security requirements and design, implement, and test security systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce security standards, policies, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
  • Architect security solutions by evaluating network and application security technologies.
  • Define and support security requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related network/security devices.
  • Design and implement Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions, including certification authorities (CAs), digital certificates, and digital signatures.
  • Ensure secure architectures across on-premises, remote/DR, and cloud environments.
  • Lead application security and DevSecOps initiatives, including secure SDLC practices and CI/CD pipeline security integration.
  • Work directly with software development teams to provide security guidance and hands-on support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Application Security and/or DevSecOps architecture.
  • Demonstrated success supporting and collaborating with software development teams.
  • Strong knowledge of secure application design principles and common vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with network and application security architecture.
  • In-depth understanding of PKI, cryptography, and certificate management.
  • Experience operating in hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with threat modeling and vulnerability management.
  • Knowledge of code security scanning tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
