Senior Project Manager - Remote Position at GIRO

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team at GIRO, a leading software development company specializing in optimization. This remote Senior Project Manager role will allow you to leverage your leadership and management skills to ensure project success from inception to completion, impacting urban mobility efficiency worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Take responsibility for the goals and scope of customer projects, ensuring the fulfillment of GIRO's commitments.
• Maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders to keep everyone informed and engaged.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, including deliverables, milestones, and customer tasks.
• Identify and assess risks, proposing solutions to mitigate or avoid them.
• Communicate resource needs to the project director (sponsor).
• Ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project and are regularly updated on its status.
• Coordinate activities of all involved parties and ensure task execution.
• Monitor and control project performance, including scope, schedule, costs, billing, and quality.
• Negotiate change requests with clients and finalize projects with comprehensive reports and retrospectives.
• Document projects and apply internal project management processes and standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a project manager in a client-facing environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and German, with regular interactions with both internal and external clients.
• A university degree in a relevant field (Project Management, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics/Computer Science, etc.).
• Familiarity with Windows®, TFS, and MS Project is a plus.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and guide them through various implementation phases.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility with occasionally shifted working hours.
• Motivation to stay informed about the latest trends in your field.
• Strong organizational skills and independence.
• Proven teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in software development projects.
