Senior Product Data Scientist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Data Scientist to join our team at MoonPay. This remote role offers the opportunity to shape our product strategy through data-driven insights and analytics. As a Senior Product Data Scientist remote, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer onboarding journey, utilizing your expertise to drive significant business impact.

What You'll Do

• Provide insights and recommendations based on a deep understanding of MoonPay flows, identifying and driving new opportunities for product improvements and enhanced customer safety.
• Collaborate closely with product teams and business stakeholders to review product performance and deliver data-driven strategies for increased product performance.
• Define KPIs, design tracking, and set up monitoring for new product launches and changes.
• Oversee and implement A/B tests and other experiments to drive optimization efforts.
• Design, build, and scale both internal and external data products, which drive informed decision-making, including dashboards, reports, data models, and algorithms.
• Communicate complex concepts and findings to technical and non-technical audiences across different teams, ensuring clarity and understanding to drive critical business decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist or data analyst, preferably in a product-focused role.
• Advanced SQL, data modeling, and data visualization tools are second nature to you.
• Strong understanding of statistics and probability, with experience conducting large-scale A/B tests.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product and operation teams.
• Experience in the fintech and/or crypto space is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of summarizing complex data findings for various audiences.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with dbt, BigQuery, Looker, and Python.
• Experience working in startups or scale-ups.
• Experience in the KYC/Onboarding space.
• Working knowledge of Machine Learning principles.
