Senior Principal Product Designer - Data Integration

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Principal Product Designer to join Fivetran, a leader in data integration. In this Senior Principal Product Designer remote role, you will help shape the future of our product by tackling complex UX challenges and elevating our design quality. Your work will empower technical users to explore and understand their data seamlessly.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end design strategy and execution for key areas of our product.
• Deliver creative solutions while proactively identifying and proposing future improvements and features.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to shape roadmaps and product direction, aligning design strategy with business goals.
• Act as a vocal champion for user experience, advocating for user-centered design principles within the organization.
• Leverage strong communication and storytelling skills to inspire trust and articulate design rationale in terms of business value.
• Mentor and inspire your team with expert guidance and actionable feedback.
• Conduct user research to deeply understand our technical users and inform design decisions.
• Drive impactful results in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating resilience in navigating ambiguity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in end-to-end Product Design, particularly for data-heavy, technical SaaS/B2B products.
• Proven track record of leading major design initiatives and mentoring other designers.
• Exceptional skills in user research, UX design, information architecture, and high-fidelity prototyping.
• Strong systems-thinking capability with the ability to simplify complex workflows.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate design decisions to diverse audiences.
• Experience in data integration, analytics, or developer tools is strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools and development.
• Familiarity with SQL and data exploration interfaces.
• Ability to implement your own designs.
