Senior Power Systems Technician - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Power Systems Technician to join our dynamic team at RESA Power. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while performing critical testing, maintenance, and service on power transmission and distribution equipment. As a Senior Power Systems Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems across various environments.
What You'll Do
- Inspect, test, and troubleshoot low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems (up to 500kV).
- Perform maintenance, testing, and repair on transformers, circuit breakers, and related equipment.
- Operate high voltage test equipment, including Doble Power Factor test sets.
- Respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner while rotating on-call duties.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
- NETA Level III Certification is preferred.
- Strong background in high voltage equipment and familiarity with industry standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and peers.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SF6 filled equipment and gas insulated switchgear.
- Prior military training in electrical power production.
- Leadership experience mentoring junior technicians.
