About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Platform Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. As a Senior Platform Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our platforms and ensuring the integrity of our systems. What You'll Do
- Design and implement security measures to protect our cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Monitor security incidents and respond to threats in real-time, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines in compliance with industry regulations such as ISO27001 and HIPAA.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers and team members.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance our security framework.
- Utilize tools like Terraform, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines to automate security processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform security engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, particularly with AWS.
- Experience with vulnerability management and security assessment tools.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Bash and Go.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security) are a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, NIST).
- Knowledge of data governance and tracking tools like Amplitude.
- Familiarity with financial services and investment banking security requirements.
