Senior Payroll Associate - Remote Opportunity at Deel

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Associate remote to join Deel, the all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams. As a Senior Payroll Associate, you will take ownership of payroll processing activities while providing guidance to junior team members. This role requires deep technical knowledge of payroll systems and regulations, ensuring compliance across assigned payroll operations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the processing of payroll data for employees.
• Maintain accurate employee records and verify employee data, including salaries, hours worked, and deductions.
• Assist with payroll tax calculations and filings.
• Provide support to employees for payroll-related questions and issues.
• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
• Lead the implementation of new payroll processes and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years of experience in payroll or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
