Senior Network Administrator - Relocation Support
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Administrator remote to join our dynamic team at Northrop Grumman. This role offers the opportunity to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. As a Senior Network Administrator remote, you will maintain the smooth operation of classified networks, ensuring that our technological advancements continue to lead the industry.
What You'll Do
- Maintain classified networks in LAN/WAN environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Plan, design, configure, and install network hardware to meet customer requirements.
- Propose solutions to management for optimizing communication requirements based on future needs.
- Create and maintain network documentation, including operational instructions.
- Install and configure Cisco routers, switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Provide incident and service request support in accordance with enterprise SLAs.
- Coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment as needed.
- Document network hardware and software components, ensuring compliance with standards.
Requirements
- Master's Degree with 6 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 10 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma with 12 years of IT experience.
- Must have a DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Current and fully adjudicated DOD Top Secret level security clearance is required.
- Experience designing and maintaining LAN & WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments.
- Proficient in Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls).
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Experience with network analysis tools (e.g., WireShark, SolarWinds).
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds as needed.
Nice to Have
- Network+ certification and/or CCNP or CCIE certification.
- Experience with configuring TACLANES.
- Previous experience troubleshooting network procedures and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership skills or previous management of small teams.
