We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer - Data Centers (Remote) to join our dynamic team. What You'll Do
- Design and develop mechanical systems for data centers, focusing on HVAC systems, cooling solutions, and redundancy measures.
- Conduct heat load calculations and performance simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within data center projects.
- Prepare technical schematics and documentation to support project execution and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality and performance expectations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and data center technologies.
- Participate in site investigations and assessments to identify opportunities for system improvements and optimizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically within data center or HVAC projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles and sustainable design practices.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
