Senior Manager, Engagement Management - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Engagement Management - Remote to join our dynamic team at GitLab. In this strategic position, you will drive Professional Services Sales and team success across GitLab’s enterprise and commercial customer portfolio. As a Senior Manager, you will lead a team of Engagement Managers focused on consultative selling, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service and support. This role is crucial in scaling GitLab’s professional services business, particularly in the Europe and Asia markets.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of Engagement Managers dedicated to Professional Services consultative selling.
• Accountable for Professional Services bookings goals within your area of responsibility.
• Provide timely and accurate weekly bookings forecasts.
• Distribute customer opportunities evenly across team members to ensure coverage.
• Collaborate with other managers to align on strategic proposals and execute strategies effectively.
• Coach team members on pipeline generation, opportunity prioritization, and negotiation processes.
• Take ownership of resolving negotiations that reach an impasse.
• Build and maintain a development plan for Engagement Managers to enhance their understanding of GitLab products and value selling.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing, leading, and delivering professional services or customer success.
• Experience in professional services sales and a subscription-based business model.
• Strong ability to partner with Account Executives and present solutions during the sales process.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor team members to achieve their goals.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GitLab or similar DevSecOps platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-powered solutions.
• Background in SaaS solutions.
